Has anyone got any idea how I can get rid of the main title and description from the top of the first page on my new wordpress site.

I am putting together a site for The Eskdale Festival of the Arts which is an annual event at the Spa in Whitby, and having been voted onto the festival committee, I foolishly admitted that I had a few WP websites.

I've managed to design and insert a custom header (after committee approval of course), which does away with the need for the main title and description, but I don't know enough about the editing of the html to find what to delete.

The videos I've found on Utube cover just about everything else except this. I found how to get into the Page and Style files but can't actually find the exact bits to delete.

The help of one of you experts out there would be greatly appreciated, after all, it is in a good cause:-)
