Once again, Celtic Music Radio, the UK's only OFCOM-licensed community radio station that focuses on traditional & contemporary celtic/scottish/roots/folk/world/whatever music, will be broadcasting live from the Celtic Connections festival. On Thursday, we escape from our regular studio and head to temporary premises in the Glasgow Royal Concert Hall, where we'll be broadcasting every day for the next 3 weeks. We'll be featuring lots of music from the festival, interviews with performers and festival guests, and all the action from the Danny Kyle Open Stage. This year at lunchtime, we intent to focus on the local music scene, with ad-hoc sessions and acoustic sets from lots of performers. You can tune in on 1530kHz in the Glasgow area, and online at http://www.celticmusicradio.net/. You'll also find full schedules at that address. We've also got coverage on DAB digital radio for the duration of the festival, across about a third of the UK. If you have a DAB radio, try twiddling the dial and look for a channel called "Pop Up" - we'll be there for the next 3 weeks, 24x7. If you're attending the festival, come and visit us in the exhibition hall. You might even end up on-air! Bruce http://www.celticmusicradio.net/.
