Penny, I think I expected too much. I focussed on Jupiter expecting it to be enormous, having been blown away by Prof. Brian Cox`s programmes, but sadly not. I can certainly make out the Moon`s features. Perhaps doing it from inside doesn`t help so I shall persist outside on the clearest night at the risk of catching my death of cold. John
