I use Census returns to identify family relationships, occupations, and addresses, among other things when I do heritage work relating to traditional performers. Up to 1901, Ancestry.co.uk gives all this, but not so the 1911 Census at first glance. Have I missed something? I'm trying to find out as much as I can about the singer George Spicer's parents, from whom he learnt some of his songs, but only his mother is listed (cryptically) where I expected to find it, although his future father-in-law appeared on cue (without his wife or any family members stated). Has anyone else the same experience?
