When I retire in a couple of years, we're off to France: No royalty No brown bread Great lifestyle - like England in the 60's Friendly people Warmer, drier weather No road tax Superb wine and food Respect for the individual No Murdoch Architecture, history and culture Cinemas prefered to cinema Respect for intellectuals rather than celebrities Downsides: I'm hopeless at the language They drive on the wrong side but the roads are empty No English beer No double cream - come on someone import it: chefs love it!
