GUEST,Jim Knowledge BBC Scotland axe folk show (7) RE: BBC Scotland axe folk show 15 Feb 12

I `ad that spokeswoman from BBC Scotland in my cab the other day. Lovely kilt and Arran sweater, shame about the sporran. Somebody should-a told `er shoulder bags are more becoming on a lassie.
I said, "You`ve gone and got them Mudcatters all riled up with your taking those folk music programmes off the air. Certainly don`t do much for showcasing Scottish culture, does it?"
She said, all `oity-toity like, "Not at all Jim, we`ve taken very positive steps to ensure the musical `eritage of a proud Scotland is well aired and `eard throughout the land".
I said, "Oh, so you`ll be playing Jimmy Shand and Robin `all and Jimmy McGregor?"
She said, "Nae Jim, we`ve planned "Classics Unwrapped". In amonst all the fiddle, piano and oboe numbers we`ve got Alex Salmond doing all of Robbie Burns` song book!!"

Whaddam I Like??
