Northern Streams, a three-day festival of Nordic music, song and dance run by the TMSA Edinburgh & Lothians branch, comes to Edinburgh on 13-15 April. Further details below, as well as on our website at www.northernstreams.org.

This year is our ninth and we are really excited to have musicians from Iceland, Denmark, Norway and Sweden as well as Britain - we think it will be our best festival yet! Artists who will be appearing at the Festival include Icelandic/British duo FUNI, Norwegian singer Kim Andre Rysstad, hardanger fiddler and singer Lajla Buer Storli, accordion player extraordinaire Rannveig Djonne, fiddler/guitarist/singer Annlaug Borsheim, Swedish duo Karin Ericsson Back and Maria Misgeld, Danish innovator Jullie Hjetland with Jens Ulvsand on bouzouki and Swedish fiddle and saxophone duo Daniel and Emma Reid.

The Festival consists of three concerts and a number of workshops for both adults and children. Tickets can be bought for individual events but there is a very reasonably priced weekend ticket which covers everything (only £39 or £29 for concessions). Available from Ceilidh Culture Box Office (Usher Hall) 0131 228 1155, in person or online at www.ceilidhculture.co.uk.

Further details, including videos and more information about the musicians can be found on the Festival's official website, www.northernstreams.org. Also, join us on Facebook at http://www.facebook.com/events/325592170825344/ and follow us on Twitter @northernstream1.

Hope to see some of you there!
