I'd like to thank everyone for their comments. I did use the search engine to find "Simon Slick" but the tune wasn't quite right. There was also "I Know an Old Canaller" with no midi file. The words fit quite well to the tune I play. I will add a chorus and I think the song will work:

Hi O Mule, Hi O Mule
Hi O you old windbag, now get on the road with me.

This is my best transcription from Uncle Dave Recording (1950).
I am still interested in other verses and would appreciate your input Bill D. and JVZ.
