I think this is on the Yorkshire Folk club thread. Walter was a regular at Bingley Folk club, in the Ferrands Arms. The club was run by Jon Rennard and Jim Wishart, so not a bad line up before you even started talking guests. Walter sang the song Lloyd George which was picked up by Tony Capstick who recorded it on one of his albums. Walter was a real character who sang fine songs, was a blacksmith and held national long distance cycling records. Not bad for a man with one arm.
