This may be of limited interest, but it's my sad duty to report that Mr. Arthur Walker of Snaith died last week. I only found out this morning at church: his funeral was friday. I would have liked to have been there. I always promised myself I would when the time came. He was a very self-effacing man. Typical that I didn't find out until too late!
It is from him that I collected the Snaith dance, and the route it took in early January. He was often seen until recently, riding his bike in Snaith to do his shopping - and he was nearly 90! Luckily I taped my conversation several years ago with him. He was a fine old gentleman and our last link with the Snaith Plough Stots.
