This is the real version, and I know this because my Nanna born in 1893 sang it to me 100s of times throughout my childhood. Nanna came from a large very poor family and only affordable entertainment was the local Eastbourne Music Hall, admission a penny I think she said. I'm certain this is closer to the original because it has more alliteration.
After the ball is over
See Nellie take out her glass eye
Put her false teeth in water
Cork up her bottle of dye
Kick her cork leg in the corner
Hang up her wig on the wall
All that is left goes to bye-byes
After the ball.
