GUEST,George Frampton Les Boore - harmonica player (1) Les Boore - harmonica player 06 Jun 12

I have six tape cassettes of recordings made at the Eight Bells, Tenterden in the 1990s.

These were carried out primarily to record a septuagenarian harmonica player who introduced himself to me as Les Boore. Although mainly a 'jazz' player, he could adapt himself to play most styles, and assimilated 'Princess Royal' into his repertoire having seen the Woodchurch Morris men!

Les seemed to vanish without trace when the pub closed for refurbishment in 1999, and his name doesn't seem to crop up on BMD or other websites - I know he lived in France for some time.

Just in case he moved, and any other 'Catter has encountered him elsewhere, I'd be glad to know of his whereabouts, as I am currently digitising my recordings and would like to formulate some kind of authoritative biography for him.
