I was singing this in the happy days at school when the writer was still living - 1934 !!I think it was in the earliest 'Songs of Praise'. The words of the first line suddenly came into my head this morning -June 2012 - and I had to check on the Internet to recall the rest of the words.As a little girl, I always thought I had a harder task than most of my classmates to " grow nearer the sky " because I was very short anyway. (I am still only 5 foot!)
