In principle, I agree with you, Greg. However, this is something that is not necessarily so clearly related to intelligence. The use of numbers often confuses many very bright people whose particular flavor of intellect may be in sound, or color, or shape. For example, I insist, against "common wisdom," that not all people should be expected to drive a car or operate a computer. And others should not be allowed to handle food or decorate a room.
