Everything I know about is a good 45 minutes or more north of Ashbourne, but here goes anyway just in case it helps ...

There's the Friday session at Glossop Labour Club, mainly English with some French and some music hall and whatever else happens, and Sunday 22nd is also the 4th Sunday session in the same location. Both lovely varied sessions that on a good night you wouldn't want to be anywhere else, but a good hour's journey from Ashbourne. (You'll get some great scenery on the way up though, assuming it's not still chucking it down that is)!

There's a session at The Globe, also in Glossop, on Mondays, mainly Irish at warp factor 8.

Ralph Smethurst is at The Holly Bush in Bollington, Cheshire on Thurs 19th but I'm not sure from his website whether that's a gig or a session, so if you fancy that, probably best to check first via his website (http://www.ralphsmethurst.co.uk/page5.htm).

There'll also be The Harrington Arms in Macclesfield on Friday, predominantly Irish but some English and European.

You're sadly a week late (and/or early) for the Olde Vick in Stockport (2nd & 4th Wednesdays), cracking mainly English session I don't get to enough.

That's all I can think of for that week - anyone got any info for Staffordshire and further south in Derbyshire?
