I am equally irritated by all of the above. I have also noticed the tendency for some radio interviewees to begin their response to a question with, "Yeah. No." as in "Yeah. No. The band started out in Boise and we just played in local clubs." Speaking of radio, does anybody know the history behind why announcers start nearly every segment with "And ..."? as in, "And now, the news." or "And you are listening to WPUG in Zanesville, Ohio." I find that almost as irritating. Oh, you never noticed that? Well now you will. I'm so glad to have this opportunity to share (and spread) my irritation! (Smile)
