We've been caught a few times on clips that were posted on YouTube. If you're interested... - Sunrise on a Guinea Farm (1) - by Al Clauser (and his Oklahoma Outlaws). Scott Nygaard joins Joy Ward on this great old western swing tune. I'm playing rhythm.
- Sunrise on a Guinea Farm (2). This was done a couple of years after the first one because the great West Virginia luthier, Bob Thompson, just loved to hear Joy play this tune and wanted a recording to keep. The parlor guitar I'm playing here with the huge sound is one of Mr. Thompson's latest creations.
- Oh, Lady Be Good. On this Gershwin tune we were joined by newly minted friends Seth Sutton and Sean Hoffman of the Goldmine Pickers
All these were taken at Bill Startz's annual Americana Festival near Steelville, Missouri. Check out Simple Folk Productions for information about this great small festival. - Mark
