I am Eulis Breeding's granddaughter. The song is written about him as he is a fallen officer of Buchanan County, VA. On Sept.9th it will mark 48 years since his last date of service. When papa was shot and they informed his mother-in-law she had a severe heart and died. Both funeral services were held in my grandmother's house in Davenport, VA.
