When in France, it doesn't matter what configurations you type in , google always bounces back to the French default version of the search enhgine . It might have google UK on the bar , but whenever you type something into it , the French network and list of searches appear. I suppose I can understand the French being anxious to protect and promote their language in the face of what must seem to them an English language onslaught , but it makes things hard when you're on holidays there.
