Thanks for the clarification, gnu. I'm surprised that shotguns were the weapon of choice for wild boar in Germany. I would have expected rifles. Are the German boars smaller than Texas boars? I definitely would not to after one those southern beasts that with a spear. Maybe that's a silly question. Isn't everything bigger in Texas?

Any wild boar I've ever tasted did not taste like regular pork. the taste was richer, and wouldn't be bad with a decent red wine.

Is there any problem with parasites with wild boars in the U.S?
