I suppose -playing the devil's advocate - its possible that one cop is politically motivated, and the other one is backing her up, cos that's what cops do.

Needs sorting though. I can see foreigners might not get it. But I tell you what it is that offends. Its unBritish.

After very election - all the candidates traditionally thank the police for their help. We expect people in power to be nice to the underlings who protect them - set a standard of politeness.

And it pisses us off when someone like Bernadette Devlin MP used to do, slags them off - even when they've saved their lives.

Its the contempt and lack of courtesy that sticks in our craw. Its ungenerous.

If the cops are lying, they should be down the road. And if this other bloke is lying, well it fits in with what we detractors of the Tories have always thought. He should fit in there quite nicely. But voters beware - this is what you're voting for.
