I agree with Brian.
TV interviewers employ researchers who haven't the slightest understanding of what a traditional event is. They nearly always poke fun at what we all consider to be an important seasonal celebration. They consider that mockery of an event is what keeps viewers' attention. Just look at any footage of Morris that has been presented over the last few years.
Why should we pander to their need to fill their newsreel time slots?
If they were serious about televising the Straw Bear festival and its history they should dedicate a crew for a whole year to go to meetings and become embedded in the community and culture of the region. They MIGHT just then get an inkling of what we are all there for at the festival.
