By the way, it wasn't mince pies that caught my attention. I eat (and make) them all year round. It was the fact that they were labelled as Christmas mince pies.
I went to buy a birthday card for my mum today, but the choice was very limited as three parts of the shop had been turned over to bloody Christmas cards!
