Leenia, "Uwe" is a boys name. Uwe Seeler was a well known soccer player in Hamburg, his name would be known in the seventies in East Germany as well. As for the cold room: this never happened in a socialist country, your colleague must have missed his courses in marxism/leninism... ;0)
