We had a bit of a change this year, instead of spending most of our time in singarounds as before, we tried out the music session in the Bell on Friday evening- and had such a wonderful time there we went back on Saturday night and Sunday lunchtime! More a mixed session, which is what I really enjoy, tunes and songs interspersed. If I had a local session like that my playing would improve no end.

We also had a Wild Thyme to start each day- we had a good few takers outside the Town Hall on Sat, including a couple of 'lary lads', but 11am on a Sunday wasn't a popular time to get new dancers... and a mis-communication over the start of the Parade meant that I was the only musician playing for Wild Thyme through the town and the shopping centre; a character building experience :)
