SRS, I've mostly given in and am letting the clutter have free run of the place. The garden declutter project was tabled when cold temperature rendered the ground too solid to remove weeds. Snow began falling October 25th and appears to have settled in until at least April. I have been decluttering snow from the driveway and deck. Does that count? My spring built-in shower project has problems, one of which is that moisture somehow got into the plywood facing under the door sill. The plywood buckled, the tiles that were glued onto it cracked and split. After I removed as many broken pieces of tile as I could, I came up with the bright idea to use the unused silicon caulking that was left in the tube to "waterproof" the exposed plywood and cover the sharp edges of remaining broken tiles. About a week ago, when the wood was dry, I caulked any large spaces/gaps then spread silicon all over the surface of the wood and the edges of the tiles, leaving a clean white rubbery surface. So far it seems to be intact and repelling the water in the shower stall. My current pressing problem is ants. We've never had them wandering around the house this time of year before. They have made appearances in every room in the house. We see only one ant at a time. There is no indication where they are entering the house. I hate poisons and I hate harming living things. I keep hoping that the ants will disappear again, as they do in the spring, but suspect that I will have to take action soon. rags
