As regards MtGM's first response I thought previous threads had established that clocks are adjusted on different dates in different parts of the world. As to the rest, I think John Donne put it very well in 1624: John Donne Meditation 17 Devotions upon Emergent Occasions 'No man is an iland, intire of it selfe; every man is a peece of the Continent, a part of the maine; if a clod bee washed away by the Sea, Europe is the lesse, as well as if a Promontorie were, as well as if a Mannor of thy friends or of thine owne were; any mans death diminishes me, because I am involved in Mankinde; And therefore never send to know for whom the bell tolls; It tolls for thee....' We cannot help but be affected by the election, though our views of it are irrelevant to the electors. I have no idea what the right choice will be, but I hope that those making that choice get it right. For everyone's sake.
