GUEST,Martin Graebe TSF meeting - Chippenham, 1 December (1) TSF meeting - Chippenham, 1 December 05 Nov 12

The next meeting of the Traditional Song Forum is going to be held at The Cause, Chippenham on Saturday 1 December and will have a particular focus on traditional song in Wiltshire - including the amazing Mr. Alfred Williams. You will also be able to hear Ted and Ivy Poole talk about their 50 years of folk singing in Swindon and the West.

From surrounding counties, there will also be presentations on the work of collector William Long on the Isle of Wight and a talk about the collection of Exmoor Carols made by Bob and Jackie Patten.

The meeting is being organised in association with TSF by Bob Berry of Wiltshire Folk Arts who will also give an overview of folk song in Wiltshire, past and present.

There will be a supporting programme of events - full details can be seen on the Traditional Song Forum Website - www.tradsong.org .

The meeting is, as with all TSF meetings, open to non-members. It helps if you let me know whether you are planning to be there, but it is OK for you to turn up on the day if your plans do not allow an early decision.

It looks like being another good meeting in a part of the country we haven't visited before - I'll hope to see you there.

Martin Graebe

TSF Secretary
