Greenm Origins: Humble Suburban Home (1) Origins: Humble Suburban Home 16 Nov 12

Back in 1970 something I played my last "gig" at, would you believe it, the Department for Education & Science canteen in Darlington. Also appearing that night was a chap who sang a couple of his own songs but in particular one called Humble Suburban Home. I have updated this over the years having taken down the original words from memory (which wasn't too easy after a few bevies). Does anyone else recollect this song or indeed the chap who sang it. He also did a parody on the Bobby Goldsboro song Honey
"I met her on the midnight bus she didn't laugh she didn't fuss
she simply took my fare
And I admired silently the ticket that she gave to me
matched the colour of her hair".......etc

Grateful for any info.
Mike
