I have been using Picture It 2002 on my pc since I got it (winXP) but now I get this runtime error message,

Runtime Error!
Program:C:\Program Files\Microsoft Picture It! 2002\pip.exe
This application has requested the Runtime to terminate it in an unusual way.
Please contact the application's support team for more information


I have spent days searching the net (after contacting Microsoft who said it was now out of date and there was no fix any more) and found that several others had this problem but it was a couple of years ago and the patches that they suggested do not work now.

Surely there must be something I can do to get it back, I really need it as a lot of my files use it for the graphics and now they won't load.

I'm getting a bit desperate now, and as a last resort I have come back here to hopefully find some kind person with the answer.
