We can probably close this thread now. The idea was that no more "assault weapons" (a term that was never defined with any specificity, but appears to mean semi-automatic shoulder weapons designed to look like military assault rifles, but are not really since they have no full-auto capability) should be sold. This has been accomplished. There was such a run on them that every gun store is sold out. Q. E. D. Peter
