Only watched again "The Ox-bow Incident (of 1943)" a few nights ago. Thought provoking for its time, multiple hanging of 3 innocent people. Starring Henry Fonda, Dana Andrews, Anthony Quinn. I know it was before the 50's, the best era for Westerns. On a lighter note after the 50's, "The Ballad of Cat Ballou (of 1965)" where they put the noose around the lovely neck of Jane Fonda (Cat) but were thwarted as the trap door opened. She is a lot better looking that Her Father Henry above. I agree, bring back the Westerns of the 50's.
