We've had one for about a year and have used it occasionally. To be honest it was an impulse buy. We use it for things like oven chips and I imagine that it would be good for prepared foods like chicken Kiev or breaded scampi. If you have a reasonable hob and oven then a halogen oven isn't really necessary. If you have limited cooking facilities then it could prove useful. They seem to do what they claim to do but I once tried making a roast dinner in it and wasn't overwhelmed by the result. It was ok but the conventional oven gives a better result. Apparently they are cheaper to run than an electric oven so that might be an advantage. |
