If you don't require much bass, and are more along the lines of vocals, guitar, keyboard, then I recommend Bose 402s, as well as the Bose Stick. Been using Bose products for 30 years, and I love 'em for great sound and ease of transport/set-up.
And despite Richard's misgivings, in over 30 years of using them, no audience member has ever told me they sound bad.
