'For interest, another frequent current use of the subjunctive is "God Save The Queen". ~Michael~'

(I always took "God Save The Queen" to mean "May God Save The Queen", which has nothing to do with the subjunctive.)

What makes most sense to me is that the precursor, which is grammatically correct, is "till death us doth part" (thanks, Dave). Am unconvinced of the subjunctive argument for the same reasons as is Darowyn. "Till death us departe" also sounds quite plausible.
