The challenge for a music instructor, live or on video is that one has to be both a good musician AND a good teacher...there is an art and a gift to each. I agree that live is best, mostly because you can ask questions! Live lessons are out for me tho...I can barely afford videos...I've found little bits and pieces online (Mandolin Cafe is excellent!),and just learn to absorb what I can from being around other musicians when the opportunity arises.
