I pee in my backyard in town all the time, just last evening for that matter. The tornado of 2011 means we have a new privacy fence but many missing trees and the church next door is gone, so it's no easier not to be seen from the neighbouring windows. No matter, it's my risk and my property so I don't care. Peeing in the holes that the dogs dig seems to discourage them from digging there again (as does burying their own excrement there). Otherwise I'm not too discriminating, as long as I think I'm not visible.

Up north in the woods likewise, I simply go when I need to go, as long as I'm not exposed. Well, I won't pee on a path.

The amazing expanding prostate sometimes doesn't give one a choice. This is why it's nice to be perfectly comfortable doing it at the side of the road too.
