Mick Tems Defining Celtic Bluegrass & Old Time (12) RE: Defining Celtic Bluegrass & Old Time 14 Apr 13

Why do Americans and Australians refer to "Celtic" music, when they mean only Irish music? Here in Wales, which is proudly celtic, the absolutely stunning bands include Calan, Jamie Smith's Mabon, Alaw, Carreg Lafar, Taran, Burum, Fernhill, Bob Delyn A'r Ebyllion, Sian James, Yr Glerorfa, DnA, Ar Log. Scotland, Cornwall, Galicia, The Isle Of Man and Brittany are all celtic and all very different.
