I am also in Calif. and have been a long time fan of Joan Baez.

It is indeed sad to hear this news about Joan's mother.
I believe Joan Baez Senior was living with Joan Baez at her home in Woodside. Just glad that Joan had her mother live to be 100.
I know they were very close she will miss her terribly.
It is so hard to lose your mother and I think of this as I remember my dear mother who died in 1994.

Beside Joan and Mimi, Joan Senior also raised her oldest daughter, Pauline.

May Joan Baez,Senior rest in peace and see her daughter Mimi in heaven.
