I present two 3-hour radio programmes each Tuesday & Wednesday when I interview folks from groups/organisations here in the Reading UK area. To break up the chat I play appropriate music tracks or get participants to bring in their own choices. As part of what I jokingly refer to as "research" I usually have a look at Wiki and get birthdays, dates of death etc but keep an eye on the news too. Next week I'll be playing George Jones, Lonnie Donegan, Willie Nelson, Mimi Farina, Judy Collins, Rita Coolidge and Pete Seeger but, reading the news I kept finding myself drawn to the horrors of Dhaka. 350 dead already with hundreds more still missing. All in the quest for the fast buck! I wondered what I could play to pay my respects and found this Hard Times I still have tears blurring my eyes as I type. The feeling being poured out by these folks as they sing is overwhelming! Eddie
