Last week an unknown force, probably the Muse, gently guided my hand as I typed "Mudcat". To my shock I found this thread. I can only second with the higest enthusiasm all the heartfelt tributes by her many Mudcat friends. I remember one episode around 2000 when Moon Child and I battled with words for over a month to see who would earn a handmade necklace from Kat. Moon Child won and I was happy. To my surprise and joy, Kat sent a beautiful necklace (for my wife Carol) she was making for her mother, who died before it was finished. Kat, of course, would not accept payment. She said she was fully pleased that we would enjoy the gift. We did. Carol still wears it. Thanks Kat for your friendship. May the heavenly chords you now hear, be happy chords.
