My turn to be smug. Rather than read my comment, just reread SJL's post above again. Especially the bit about agreeing that gay people existing means we need a solution. Oh and the posts around it on the Godwin stuff. Especially those using Godwin to close down uncomfortable comparisons. I love a good flush out now and then. Don't you? Oh, forgot Goofus. On reflection that seems a good idea.
