Cost so far, £50 deposit on courtesy car, £142 more on my insurance premium for the new year which started Thursday, increase on excess on that policy from £150 to £250. Excess due on repair £200.

The driver sort of acknowledged fault, but I haven't heard yet any confirmation of it.

I thought of getting one when I saw the footage of the Russian meteorite, but found they were about £40 and only kept 1 hour of footage on the SD card before overwriting it. It was in a shop called Maplins over here (bit like Tandy/Radio Shack), and it wasn't called a dash cam. A VGA Journey Recorder is what it was called.
