Great article, Chanteylass. Yes, there was definitely something to be said for 70's radio in the US ( it wasn't all disco, thank God)--but Linda was the brightest star. Nothing--until now-- could stop that voice, which had so many wonderful and evocative moods. And she was even a larger-than-life personality, with her connections to people like the Eagles--and even Jerry Brown. I made a tape--maybe more than one--of my favorites of hers. And wore it out. Also roamed the dial looking for her music--and cranked it up every time one came on. I'll admit I was wrong about "You're No Good". Turns out it was "When Will I Be Loved?" which was an Everly Brothers song--after all, Phil wrote it.
