As a long time Alderney resident I can confirm the last Folk Club in Alderney was 1976-1982 and successfully ran (year-round)on a weekly basis in the Sea View Cellar Bar.It was not a strict trad club but welcomed all acoustic music and linked in with Guernsey/Jersey clubs to book acts from the circuit as well as featuring local performers.
Nowadays live music(in all forms) is found in different venues on the island and has become even more popular in the last 2-3 years. Rea's Bistro has featured contemporary folk on many occasions and together with both the Performing Arts Fest. and the Wildlife Fest. encouraged performers from the other islands, the mainland and also France.
