What struck me about the programme was, that although Nic was a superb instrumentalist, he was - and still is - more concerned about getting the song across, rather than show-offy arrangements, etc. His version of Little Musgrave trumps all other variants, in my book, and demonstrates what I mean; the guitar just drives along underneath, like a river carrying a barge laden with cargo. More power to him. Great to see him back. And backed by Joe and Belinda, there's teamwork for you. |
