Well, it was just a usual Getaway. Humdrum, really. Nothing but hours and hours of great music, wonderful people, good weather, pretty scenery, and friends friends friends.

A favor -- if anyone has a video of Darriel and Jocelyn's concert, please let me know. Her parents would love to see it.

A few favorite moments: Murray Callahan channeling Helen Cain, the "Boop Boop A Doop" girl. Kendall making me cry with The Band Played Waltzing Matilda. Andrew & Carole making me cry on the very next song with Andrew's song "Let Me Breathe." Mitzi and Linda making me cry with their song about the cardinals.... Mark Gilston, during a concert that touched on how he turned into the astonishing musician he is, being able to point out a couple of the major musical influences in his life (Lani Hermann, John Roberts) because they were there in his audience.

And of course, listening to Darriel and Jocelyn's first concert.

Wish you were there. Wish we could keep it going for a month. Wish every day held even a tenth of the magic, beauty, talent and warmth that make up the Getaway.
