A contribution from downunder... http://www.theage.com.au/federal-politics/political-news/paul-keatings-remembrance-day-address-20131111-2xb2x.html as there was a disproportionate contribution (and sacrifice) from the Anzacs in WW1. as the Aussies and Kiwis went off to do their bit for King and Empire and the 'pride of the British race'. Even the smallest outback town has a cenotaph, the roll call of names, often the same surname repeated, sometimes only a handful of names, etched into the stone. 'Where now the horse and the rider...?'
