I know Bob wasn't renowned for leaping about on stage, but I wonder if a stray boot might not have just had some small effect on said recorder....perhaps while he was hypnotising the audience with his music.... (Not "slagging him off"; just a slight attack of the cynics.) That said, I remember him well from the Bristol Troubadour and the Bath "Hat" and much enjoyed his music (even "Horse Named Bill" if the mood was right). And a (belated) thank you to Mr MacGregor for bringing back memories of Chanticleer, Lorraine, Dave Adams, Rosie, Albert, Joe King et al from the early 1970s. Not to mention (because he didn't!) Arnold, Zac, John Mills, Norma, the Lawler brothers and countless others. Great days! Apologies for thread drift.
