It was such sad news to hear Avril had lost her battle after spending so long in hospital and having not been well for such a long time before that. She ran, in my opinion, one of the finest folk clubs in the south east, and it was always a pleasure to play there as well as hear her fine voice. I will be there this coming Friday and will remember her with much fondness. RIP Avril, you will be sorely missed. John Barden
